Already have your design?
When working with CBD there are a few basic steps that we typically take to ensure that your design(s) are print-ready and meet all of the necessary specifications for the manufacturing job. The steps include:
- Review your design: The first step will be to have our Design Team review your design to ensure that it meets the requirements for the print manufacturing job. This includes checking the dimensions, resolution, color space, bleed, and other specifications as needed. We typically work with standard Vector files, and utilize software such Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, or InDesign to review and prepare your design for printing.
- Notify you of, and resolve any issues: If we find any issues with your design, such as low resolution images, incorrect dimensions or color space, or missing fonts, we will notify you and provide instructions for how to fix the issues. We are also capable of resolving any potential issues for you, and if they are minor we typically make modifications for free, but it should be noted that any major modifications will need to be billed at our normal Graphic Design rates. In the end, we must reach perfection to ensure that the final printed product meets your expectations and quality standards.
- Create the print-ready file: Once your design is deemed print-ready, CBD will create a print-ready file for the job. This file will be optimized for the specific printing process and equipment being used, and will include all of the necessary specifications for the job.
Want to hire CBD to help create your packaging?
When working with CBD there are a few basic steps that we typically take to ensure that your design(s) are print-ready and meet all of the necessary specifications for the manufacturing job. The steps include:
- Initial Consultation: The first step in the graphic design service for custom packaging is an initial consultation. During this consultation, our Design Team will meet with you to discuss the details of your packaging needs, brand identity, and any design preferences or specifications. This is an opportunity for our designers to get to know you and your team to understand requirements and vision.
- Concept Development: After the initial consultation, we will begin the concept development phase. This involves brainstorming and sketching out different design ideas that will be presented to you for review. It is critical that we consider the packaging’s function, target audience, and unique selling points of your product while developing the design concepts.
- Mockup Creation: Once you approve a specific design concept, our Design Team will create a mockup of the packaging. This will allow you to see how the design will look on the actual packaging and make any necessary adjustments before moving on to the final design.
- Final Design: After the mockup has been approved, we will move on to creating the final design. This involves refining the design to ensure it is visually appealing, on-brand, and meets any regulatory requirements for the product you are producing, such as child-resistant packaging, and specific legalease.
- Production Files: Once the final design is complete, the Design Team will create production files that will be used by our product-specific manufacturing line to produce the packaging. These files will include all the necessary specifications, such as color codes, print resolution, and die-cutting information.
- Review and Approval: CBD will submit the production files to you for review and approval. You will review the files and ensure that everything is accurate and meets your requirements.
- Delivery: Once you have approved the production files, the designer will deliver them to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will use these files to produce the custom packaging according to your specifications.
In summary, our graphic design services involve a collaborative process between our Design Team and you (i.e. your Team) to create a design that is both visually appealing and functional. We are committed to working closely with you throughout the entire process, from concept development to delivery, to ensure that the final design meets your needs and expectations.
